Ok i am having some problems with cleaning windows
Problem 1. Automobile windows on the inside are showing a film after they have been cleaned, i have tried no film cleaning sprays, i also tried microfiber rags, and it STILL comes back, how do i get rid of this film in smoking and non smoking cars, and how long should i expect it to be gone for before the next clean?
Problem 2. I am going to start cleaning office windows, and they have the water spots on them like you commonly see on a cars exterior windows, is there a janitorial cleaning solution i can get that wont streak and will get rid of them or at least help them be not as visible? I have tried the water and vinegar solution, and have tried normal glass cleaning stuff, i want to know if something more “heavy duty” will work better and if so what is it and where do i get it??
I really need some good help on this and would prefer a professional cleaner who has tested anything they are going to mention thoroughly and not just “heard it” somewhere.

Cut pure amonia with water (2:1) and wash your windows with a sopping cotton cloth, dry the window with coffee filters…trust me, this works.
P. S. use rubber gloves and have plenty ventilation, the amonia is quite strong.

I use IE7. For the past few weeks, when a new window opens, my default text size switches fron “largest” to “medium”. Also, my Google toolbar gets shut off. So, I have to go into tools and change my text size and then right click the toolbar area and re-check Google constantly!!
I have run spyware software, registry cleaning software, anti-virus software….all to no avail.
What is going on and how do I fix it? I could always switch to FireFox, I suppose. Thanks for your help. Ed

Yeah if you can take them down and wash them properly in the tub, then do so. I would use regular dish soap to wash them by hand. Not dish washing detergent, to be clear.

So I work for some people, washing their windows. They are pretty organic, anti-toxic people so they told me to mix 1/2 C Distilled white vinegar in about 5 cups lukewarm water.
I did this, and began washing the windows, both inside and outside surfaces with a squeegee, using the soft side, and then the rubber flap side.
It was about 20 degrees outside, I read the thermometer outside.
Today, the next day, I find that the windows are completely streaked!
Im not sure why but the homeowners asked me to try using newspaper and the soft side of the squeegee and see if the result improves. So I did, and today it was a bit warmer while doing this, about 29 degrees.
So what do you guys think? Is the problem in
a) my technique
b) the solution
c) the equipment
d) the temperature/ weather.

Single edge razor blade very carefully. You do not want to use any kind of solvent as it will attack the good paint. First cut the edge along the frame. Now lay the blade flat to the glass and shave to the cut line. This will take time, but it will work. Don’t rush or you will screw it up.

Question by : I have a 1988 325i Convertible, what is a good solution for cleaning the black top’s window?
Whenever I’m reversing it can be quite difficult because the see through window is quite dirty, I have tried cleaning it but the visibility through it is still poor. This is not a glass window.

Yes it will work just fine. A mild detergent type soap and water, and you may dry it with a heat gun or towel. amonia is ok as if you rinse with water. Amonia can damage tint however you are right there.
After you get your tint on, park in the sun or heat with a hair dryer if you dont have a heat gun. This cause the tint to stick better and also can get out tiny air bubbles not removed by squeeging.
