Question by playboy: what is disk clean up in system tools?if i clean a disk will it delete data? what type of files will it delete
i have windows xp and i do not know what the use of disk clean up.and what type of files will it delete.will it delete what i have not use for a long time such as desktop icon which is not in use or images which i have not seen for a long time?please xplane in detail

cleans unnecessary data from the system,tempory files etc.makes the pc run faster.

    WinXP will explain that to you if you will only ask.
    Either use the F1 “Help” feature or start disk cleanup and read the screen prompts.

    The disk cleanup wizard will delete unused data but will not do any damage. What it does is as follows

    it can compress old files that havnt been used for a long time to save disk space.
    It deletes files in the recycle bin.
    It removes temporary files from web browsing and installations that have no use on your system.
    Removes Offline webpages

    All of these re options that you need to select by choice

    Removing all these items will save disk space and will not remove any of your data from your documents or computer programs.

    Doing this could even speed up your internet browsing
